Injuries certainly played a role. But he made a few comments about doing things differently in the future to help the teams gel that made me scratch my head wondering why he didnt know to do that already.
When Mack left, we were coming off three of the greatest seasons in X history. Left a sour taste in my mouth.

    This time? Meh... cya.

You think there’s any part of miller that feels hurt for how this went down, and how X will portray him from here on out? God I hope so.

Also, for what it’s worth, a Texas insider says the NIL at Texas was 3.5 million this year and expected to by around 5 for the upcoming year. I think X had the same this year. Reportedly, they were around 4 for next year and a donor offered 1.5 more to keep Sean. Didn’t work. I think it was too late at that time.

It sounds crazy/ but I think Sean was really trying to negotiate more NIL, was giving X a chance to up it- and the Texas reporter leaked the info. The snowball effect from social media forced his hand to go.

Miller has shown his cards. He doesn’t give a fuck. 4 should be plenty to get a decent roster, at least enough to get to the tournament, be in the top 4-5 in the big East at the least, and then it’s all matchups

Unfortunately, I do not think Xavier is in a position to look for both a new AD and basketball coach at this time. We were all (or at least most of us) were excited for Miller to come back 3 years ago. I think he is a solid coach, but not elite by any means. He proved that when he went to Arizona, had endless resources and never won the big one. Hopefully, Xavier structures a more consequential buyout for the next coach. Need immediate results from the next coach. None of this rebuilding garbage.
Hiring Sean Miller was absolutely moronic. But was he hired because that's who Christopher wanted or was he hired because that's who the big donors wanted and that's who he was told to hire by those who were further up the chain??

IMO it was the right move at the time. He was the known commodity and I don’t think anyone realized just how much of a piece of shit he truly is. He had one foot out the door the moment he stepped on campus, we just didn’t know it

I'd like to hear from the guys who did the podcast with Miller all year long. What do they think of him leaving.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

100%. Hiring Miller was the right decision at the time. We just got burned again by a snake.

I'll be shocked if we ever hear an honest unfiltered take from wither of them on this. Not blaming them for that, just probably won't happen. I'm sure we will hear something though.

This is what I can't get past. How did they NOT realize it??? It's not like it wasn't incredibly obvious. I guess they literally didn't talk to ANYONE from Arizona.

EDIT - I won't go on a rant. I'll just say that I believe that if you do any looking at all, you'll find more people that say Sean Miller damaged their careers (some quite severely) than you fill find saying he helped them. He's certainly not the only basketball coach you would say that about, but he's on that list of coaches. And that just has me wondering...Did they actually do any looking at all??

Besides Book, who else would say that Miller damaged his career? Didn’t Sean have an an assistant who committed academic fraud?
