We ain't talking about taking Bill Self from Kansas here. We are talking about taking Pitino from New Mexico like moves. It's the Big East, it's Madison Square Garden and it's a stepping stone to the big 2 conferences. Trust me those guys want that shot, they don't care about feelings. I think we should all see that loud and clear now

And yes... you should make the fans feel better first and foremost. I moved away 4 years ago, but if I still had season seats I can promise I would have called today, canceled my donation, released my seats and let them know exactly why. That goodbye to Sean wasn't just weak... it was a slap in the face to all you fans who still pay good money to support the program. Miller's insult is one thing... we will get over it... but Christopher letting him do it with a smile on his face is inexcusable.

Yeah to some degree I agree, however you have to at least somewhat like the guy you're going to be working with for the next 3-4 years before leaving.

Xavier is our school - why would you bail just because the AD was polite? Whoever we hire will be doing the same thing Sean did. It’s really just business to the coaches and ADs.

I thought we said 3 years ago that Christopher would be forever linked to his decision to bring back Miller. Unfortunately, I do not think Xavier is in a position to look for both a new AD and basketball coach at this time. We were all (or at least most of us) were excited for Miller to come back 3 years ago. I think he is a solid coach, but not elite by any means. He proved that when he went to Arizona, had endless resources and never won the big one. Hopefully, Xavier structures a more consequential buyout for the next coach. Need immediate results from the next coach. None of this rebuilding garbage.

GC needs to make this hire, but there should absolutely be pressure on him. His tenure has been below average, and not just with the basketball program, with most of the athletic programs, save baseball and maybe women's soccer.

We all need to see some vision for this new world. It takes some calculated risks and some unique ideas. The status quo won't get it done anymore.

    Miller's 2nd stint at X:

2023: NCAA wins against a 14 and an 11 seed, the former requiring a massive comeback in the 2nd half. Blowout loss to Texas
2024: Missed NCAA (injuries, not entirely his fault).
2025: Barely made the tournament, lost big in the first round. At least we won the play-in.

Sean is a great coach and I will never forget what he did here his first time around... but give me Chris Mack.

Yeah it wasnt as envisioned for sure. The first year was great and it sucked to beat the national champs twice and then lose Zach, but overall I'd give Millers second tenure a C+/B-. Injuries certainly played a role. But he made a few comments about doing things differently in the future to help the teams gel that made me scratch my head wondering why he didnt know to do that already.

I didn't say I would bail. I said I would pull my money. Big difference. You are right. To coaches and AD's it is just business. That applies to fans as well. Xavier isn't entitled to anyone's money if they conduct business practices you or I don't agree with. If you want to support with your money by all means. But I would choose not to because I don't agree with the business practices of the program with what I read and heard today.
