It's funny to me how with a lot of Trump fanatics (Note: Not Republicans - specifically the ardent Trump supporters) will swear that racism has nothing to do with their support of Trump, but then they will throw back a few cold ones and casually drop a pretty clearly racist comment. I have come to believe that for a (not insignificant) portion of Trumpers they are tired of being called a racist when they say racist things. The problem is that they do say racist things, but don't acknowledge their role in that. For example, I have never been called a racist, because I don't say things that are racist. Part of the appeal of Trump is that he says racist and sexist things apologetically, which emboldens them to say racist and sexist things and not feel ashamed when it is pointed out to them that their comments are racist.

Of course they don't think they are racist, which is why I'll be inundated with comments here shortly from about 5 or 6 of these guys calling me a liberal, a snowflake, and saying that I'm a hypocrite for calling it racist to say that a mixed woman 'fakes her race'. This is where the bar is at right now: the combination of thinking Trump is an idiot and also thinking that calling a women a 'whore who fakes her race' is not an appropriate thing to say makes me a flaming liberal.
I love a good calling out of "racist people" with stereotyping an entire group of people. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Guess what? I’ve never been called a racist for saying racist things either. The problem is many Trump supporters are painted with that broad brush in spite of no evidence of it. Are there racist Trump supporters? Of course. Just like there are racist Biden supporters.

I clearly remember when Obama was President and any time someone disagreed with him, they were instantly labeled as racist since there couldn’t be any other reason to disagree. When everything becomes racist, in spite of no evidence, you just stop paying attention.

    Grifters gonna grift.

You might have got some money back from the Trump University con. I don't think you'll get anything back this time around

Right. Do you think that part of the 'broad brush' might come from people saying things like referring to a political opponent as a 'whore who fakes her race'? This thread if full of people posting articles and memes to imply that anyone who opposes Trump supports anarchy in Portland and a lawless state with no police. Calling foul when one gets called out for saying something that seems pretty clearly racist seems pretty at odds with that.

Maybe you are right. I certainly don't have a crystal ball. I'm just really not that worried about it though. I feel like I've benefited a lot from life circumstance and if I miss out on a promotion or something I'm probably still luckier than most.

I'm a white guy who was born into a happy family. My Mom stayed home and raised the kids. My Dad worked and was very successful. They are still happily married. I graduated college and went into a similar line of work as my father and have been quite successful. I attribute some of that to ability and some of it to my learning how to look / act / talk / think like an executive from a pretty young age.

Obviously my life experience has been much more privileged than most people (including most White People) so I certainly try to understand the experience of other white people who are not similarly privileged.

I don't think that defending your racial turf by saying racist shit on the internet is going to net to a positive result though.

Are you suggesting that having a 2-parent family, where the parents work and raise their kids is “white privilege”?

Honestly I'll be surprised if I vote Democrat in 2024 unless Trump somehow runs again.

I have never been directly called a racist (to my knowledge). I don't really care or concern myself with a bunch of noise about how 'all white people are racist'. There is a whole ridiculous fringe of that type of shit that hasn't negatively impacted my life in any way.
This is soooo laughable... You white, snowflake libs are so obsessed with race, but you keep voting for the most racist party this country has ever seen.

Lets review: The Democrat Party is the party of slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, Bull Conor, Robert Byrd, Trail of Tears, Japanese Internment Camps, opposition to Brown v. Board of Education, concentrating of abortion clinics in black neighborhoods - and lets not forget Gov. Ralph "blackface" Northam....

I never called her a "whore" but took exception to the fact that you keep asking for more proof when it's pretty clear what happened. Then you decide to do the "what about the other guy" routine. Short of a confession it's pretty clear that you won't admit to any of it. And I'm no Trump supporter by any means, I just find it hypocritical that people can't use any critical thought when it comes to their own parties' weaknesses/indiscretions.
