GC could have released a better statement less praising. But being outright defiant serves no purpose than to make himself and/or fans feel better.
We ain't talking about taking Bill Self from Kansas here. We are talking about taking Pitino from New Mexico like moves. It's the Big East, it's Madison Square Garden and it's a stepping stone to the big 2 conferences. Trust me those guys want that shot, they don't care about feelings.
