You say again. Can you tell me a time when there was parity in college football/basketball? There’s always been haves and have nots.

Cinderella stories in the tournament did not mean parity. And despite this year being chalky, the last 2-3 years were not during this NIL/portal time period.

I get what you are saying I was coming from the angle of everyone having the same level playing field like the NFL. Say you have a cap of 5M to spend on a team, not everyone will use that or can use that much (Just look at the cap space the Bengals have had) but at least there is some framework around it.

You’ve never had parity. You’ve also never had unrestricted free agency with players bolting every year to chase more money, resulting in teams losing multiple starters not to graduation.

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

Yeah I get that and agree. Not sure it will cause parity bc many teams won’t be able to spend close to the limit but understand your point and think having some sort of agreed upon cap like the rev sharing is doing is a good idea.

    Bottom line:

Institutions with the deepest pockets will always have the advantage. Money and power influences, so not much has really changed. You can change all the rules you want, you won't skirt that reality.
