MID: A quick Google search produces the following stats: USA active solders as of June, 2024 = 443K + 498K reservists

Russia: (estimate as the Russians don't post info too often!): 550K active soldiers + 1M reservists
Russia still has the 2nd most nuclear weapons in the world.
Lastly, the reason to take Russia/Putin seriously is he doesn't care how many soldiers he loses. . .he simply wants more land, mineral resources, water + the ability to stay in power. He will bully any and all that get in his way! Recent history tells us that "negotiating" with him is foolish; too bad the Trumpster has no sense of history. Soon he'll be known as the "Appeaser in Chief" and Neville Chamberlin will sigh in relief.

In general, I’m in favor of a lot of what Trump and DOGE are trying to accomplish. This is flat out stupid.

I am also in favor with trying to reduce government spending to reduce the amount of debt put on this country. However, I have no faith in politicians and billionaires actually accomplishing this in a thorough way. Would like to see Trump not taking these expensive trips to Super Bowls and racing events that aren’t needed. Turn on the TV like the rest of us. Lead by example. Also would like to see this done gradually and not so all at once. Will be interesting to see how the economy reacts to DOGE laying off/firing large amounts of people.
