Damn, the Democrats are really pissed with this DOGE stuff. I haven't seen them this mad since the Republicans freed their slaves.
When they say, “We must protect our democracy,” switch the word “democracy” to “bureaucracy”, and it will all make sense.

Just google the story. You can find a lot of stuff about Pravda being the first place it showed up.

Here's an example of how crazy the dissemination of false narrative is in today's media world.

Yeah you'd think everyone would want to get rid of wasteful spending just like men in women's sports! Crazy time we live in

I don’t think (I’d hope I’m not) there is anyone that wouldn’t want to get rid of wasteful spending, minus the politicians and the affected orgs of course. The problem I can see people having is the person doing it. ( I don’t trust musk for shit), and the how. Tbh though i don’t know if id trust anyone doing it. It’s probably the cynic in me in terms of human nature and the government in general, but i believe anyone doing it is just doing it for their own self interest. I have a really hard time believing anyone is doing anything to help the American public. I think it’s mostly bs and smoke and mirrors. Just my opinion.

Looks like the Dems are stalling for more time to shred all the evidence at the FBI.

Ya, it looks like the left is getting their rally’s going over this which I really don’t understand. However, my problem with DOGE like anything else that comes from Washington is bi-partisan thoroughness. Will republican Musk identify and work to remove right wing wasteful spending as well or is this just a left wing attack. DOGE is good if it roots out all wasteful spending in Washington. I just don’t have much faith that it will. Happy to be proven wrong but doubt I will be.

Ah, misread your quote. Guess I have a reading comprehension problem after all.

Honestly had no idea what Pravda was. Hopefully the government was not tracking my google searches lol.

Definitely agree on the news these days.

I share your cynicism for sure. Could it be handled differently? Of course it is Trump. But it sure is awesome to see someone bringing this to light.

When you are pissing off both sides of the aisle, you’re doing something right. Just what until they find fraud and abuse to Medicare and Social Security, heads will truly explode!

Side note (I realize it was not brought up) when it comes to the severance packages. There is not one person I know who hasn’t been affected by them. They truly suck and should be done as a last resort. However when you are 37T in debt, you gotta do what you gotta do.

This is the one area I don’t understand why you would need Congress approval. If the employees were budgeted to get paid over the next 8 months anyway, what is the difference? Assuming they have control of headcount?
