Not really…you were partially correct. If we just look at the 1st half both of your observations are correct. If you just look at Free, he was 0/3 on his 3point attempts. And, both he and McKnight missed 2 FT attempts during the game, 4/6 and 2/4 respectively…6/10 combined.

Xavier shot only 40% for field goal attempts for the game, as it appeared that there was a lid on the basket for almost everyone other than Conwell. Especially in the 1st half. If everyone shoots at their normal pace for the whole game, X might win fairly easily, but that’s just part of the game. ‘Nova didn’t score nearly what they normally do either.

As much as I like getting home earlier, the 6:30 start time has been tough for whatever reason. What’s everyone’s thoughts a couple years into that time slot?
Put a winning product on the court, and you will have no problem with attendance. This may be considered a “fair weather” fan base by some, but people have busy lives and do not have the time/desire to watch mediocrity.

No doubt in my mind that the weather conditions are also a major factor on attendance. Especially for older fans or fans attending with young children cold and snowy conditions make attending evening games much less enjoyable.

Has little to do with attendance. Attendance is mostly fine. It has everything to do that without the students, the atmosphere has been shit in that arena.

I get people not being able to get there on time during the week or not being able to attend at all. What I don’t understand is attending and sitting on your hands which I have seen a ton this year.

My friends and I come from Indianapolis to every home game. Over and back. This is our 41st year of doing so. No excuses for work, weather or anything else for not attending most games.

Nobody needs to make “excuses” to you or anyone else. You choosing to drive over from Indy is your choice, nothing more. Others choose to do something different with their time and money. Nobody needs to apologize for how they choose. That some people choose to not go out in weather doesn’t need to be justified to anyone. They shouldn’t be shamed for it, and it doesn’t make you and your friends superior to them either. Get over yourself.

It’s fine if you choose to not go to the game or can’t because of prior commitments. Life happens and everyone is busy. However, it takes very minimal effort to then either sell or giveaway your tickets to an x fan. It seems a lot of the late folks or the ones not getting there are mostly high donor lower bowl people right behind the benches. It’s kinda shitty imo.

I don't think fans are at this point yet. This is not a fair weather fanbase.

This lack of fans at 6:30pm is mostly operational. As I've mentioned a bunch of times, if you're going to play at 6:30pm on a weekday, and you still haven't really fixed the parking and ticket scanning fiasco, then a whole bunch of people aren't going to be in their seats at tip. That was fully evident again last night. It filled up slowly after that.

Thousands of people are stuck having to get to the games late because of stupid start times and ignored issues with parking and ticket scanning upon entrance. Some of this is squarely on X, and they are acting like it's not a thing.

Agreed, it’s pretty easy to get rid of tickets by either selling or giving them away.

That’s not just a Xavier/Cintas problem either. I’ve had it happen in other arenas/stadiums too.
