The outcome of this election could very well determine whether it's President Trump or Inmate Trump.

I hate all of this. I cannot stand how Trump is so incapable of telling the truth he won't participate in any debate or interview where he will be fact checked. I hate how he has actually (seemingly) convinced his supporters that fact-checking is somehow Un-American. I hate how he has no respect whatsoever for the checks and balances we have built into our system, nor does he respect the customs of public life, and while I totally think that most people who run for public office do it for selfish reasons, even by those standards Trump is off the charts.

As for Kamala Harris...well...I'll just say this. She just isn't qualified. Like...NOT AT ALL. She is to the Executive Branch what Kenny Payne was to D1 basketball coaching. She's WAAAAAAAYYYYY out of her depth!!!

This should bother EVERYONE. At a time when we are so divided, we should at least be united on the basis of not liking THIS!!! It's ridiculous. It's a collective failure. No one should be happy now, and no one should be happy the day after the election.

Just curious Brew. Why is Harris so unqualified?
AG for largest state, United States Senator and 4 years as VP with a lot of time devoted to working with our allies.
Generally that would be a good resume.
Are there specific instances of being unqualified, or just the standard talking point.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

If I'm honest it's more of a general impression than it is her resume (which as you point out actually isn't that bad). A big part of it is, if I'm honest with myself, a personal aggravation of how there wasn't a proper primary or even a convention. I felt they had time to do it and she was simply chosen over some other candidates who would have been better. That, and when someone is running for office they need to make themselves available more than she does. MUCH more.

But I would still prefer her to Trump. By quite a bit. I just don't think she's going to win, and I think there are several others that probably would have.

Thanks for your response. The lack of a regular primary when an unusual occurrence of Biden withdrawing was strange.
Not sure of the logistics, but the official nomination and vote went on as usual at the convention.
These are strange times we are living through.

Of the four on the Presidential ticket, JD Vance is by far and away the most competent. That is not something I expected to say (and still remains faint praise).

I often wonder why she was selected by the Democrats to be the nominee. The Democrats had the perfect opportunity to move away from the Biden Administration and go in a different direction to win the moderate vote/win the election. The moderate voters have been against both Biden and Trump. Yet they nominated Bidens assistant which is perceived and rightfully so as another Biden which the moderates don’t want. So now the moderates again are having to decide between two unpopular candidates which I think will ultimately backfire for the Democrats.

From a political science point of view, your are 100% right.

I think the reason the Dems did it is because they thought it would be unfair to her if they didn't. Perhaps that isn't the real reason, but if you were ask me what I thought was going on inside their heads, it's that. In reality, from a political science approach, it was a bad choice. And, they'll probably lose. To TRUMP!!
