Wait, you expect members of Congress to have some sort of ethical code of conduct and put country before party? You know that doesn’t happen and it never will because the American public doesn’t hold the people responsible for their actions. While Trump shows his ass all over the place, and is so incapable of telling the truth that he won't even participate in any sort of debate or interview where fact-checking will occur, and his method for garnering support is to make people as mad as possible at his opponents by just completely making shit up, so far as I know the guy has never advocated for the complete destruction of entire religions and races of people. Trump is a bad guy who I think probably does deserve to be in prison (albeit not for the porn star stuff), but there are a few planets in between him and Hitler.

At least some of the people they interviewed for the article seemed normal/rational:

Yes, they edited it and the edits made her look more favorable. No question about it.

But, virtually EVERY interview of any kind is edited. If it isn't live, or if they don't specifically state that it's an unedited interview (and there are some people that will only agree to interviews that are unedited) then the interview has been edited.

And, didn't they also air the interview in its entirety, and only used the edits as teasers?? I believe 60 Minutes routinely makes the full interviews available, but edits them for the show itself. Otherwise, it wouldn't be over in 60 Minutes. And, if they didn't make the whole interview available in some way, shape, or form, then how the hell did anyone ever see the full version of it to know what they had edited for the show??

The reaction from Trump is, of course, overblown. I'd be curious to know exactly what it is he thinks an editor does. But, the edited version DID make her look better.
