At least we can be assured that banks have ample amounts of minorities working for them, and everyone has been steeped in DEI....

Just arbitrarily printing money with nothing to back it up has consequences.
What if Manchin hadn’t manned up and stopped that $4 trillion “Stimulus Package” where the hell would we be?
Total irresponsibility by Democrats, because after that failed, they sold Manchin a Bill of Goods to vote for the “Inflation Reduction Act”!!
Now we have this mess but there is no chirping from the Leftist Peanut Gallery on this Board or outrage in the Press over this debacle.
And Biden walks to a podium, makes a 4 minute statement and walks back out refusing to take questions.
Clown Show. Even NPR can’t ignore the garbage pile any longer. #ThreatToDemocracy

I'm going to donate to the Cleveland NPR station in MOR's name just for that.

Let’s hope the university has the intestinal fortitude to stand up to this and tell the petitioners to pound salt. The first link is an opinion piece by someone against Deters’ appointment as “justice in residence”. The second is an article from the Enquirer, which might be behind a paywall. Here’s a quote from the article that makes it sound like the university won’t cave.

"Higher education is a marketplace of ideas, and at Xavier University we are preparing future leaders" the university said in a statement. "We embrace difficult conversations and intellectual discomfort as part of our mission. It is through challenging conversations that we learn to better understand our own positions and engage with those who hold different views."

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

Just another example of liberals trying to silence any views other than their own. I have no problem with college kids having liberal views. Hell, I was a flaming liberal in college, but I sure didn’t feel the need to try and silence other views. Some of my favorite times in college were debating politics with friends. This kid is just another entitled baby.

I'd be interested to learn Ethan Nichols's views on abortion given his stance that Deters doesn't belong at a Catholic institution due to his views on the death penalty.

And hopefully Hanycz "umcommitted" Xavier from principles of anti-racism and addressing criminal justice reform using a racial equity lens. That shit is poison and was more than enough reason to be thrilled to see that jackass Graham leave office.

That was my immediate thought, go. I guess I don’t fit the “ Jesuit way” or whatever either.. against abortion but 100% for the death penalty and firing squad sounds awesome.

Lyin’ Joe Biden can’t stop Lyin’
And how convenient that Gavin Newsome personally, and his wineries, had big deposits in Silicon Valley Bank?
Corruption at its finest and, yeah, it’s a bailout, in a situation caused by total Democrat fiscal irresponsibility.
    Clowns.

We had lunch with Prez Colleen at the AFO Golf outing last year. My buddy who is a lawyer and is not afraid to ask direct questions asked her how Xavier would handle social issues going forward, “Woke” or not?
She answered that rather than being “Jesuit”, Xavier would educate in the “Catholic” tradition and be sensitive but not overly solicitous to one side. IMO the appointment of Deters was an attempt to battle “wokeism”.
Now the rubber is on the road. If she backs down, the answer will be contradictory. I don’t believe she will.
