If he can develop a reliable shot and play the two, I think he could get drafted. People on here have compared him to josh hart and I think that’s a very fair comparison in terms of height, athletic ability and where his ceiling is, but hart was a career 39% 3pt shooter. I hope Colby can get to that level.

I don’t see him being able to play the 1 at the next level.
oh yeah he's much more athletic than Tre was, I just think the things that make him stand out now are things that make him a great college player and won't translate as quickly at the next level. I think he can def play in the NBA, I just don't think it's happening next season. Wasnt Hart a senior when he got drafted? I thought he was an upperclassmen

The Swiss Army knife analogy has been a bit overused by Steele, but it is very accurate. No player on the team comes close to being so useful for so many different situations/needs.

Need someone who can get defensive rebounds: Colby can do it
Need someone to be in the right place for a putback: Colby can do it
Need someone to help defend: Colby can do it.
Need someone who can make the midrange jumper and the 3: Colby can do it
Need someone who can create an offensive spark: Colby can do it
Need someone who can hustle and go after loose balls: Colby can do it.
Need someone who can help break the press: Colby can do it.
Need someone who can steal the ball: Colby can do it (he’s leading the team)
Need someone who passes well and can fill it up with assists: Colby can do it
Need someone who can play the 1,2,3 or 4 (in a pinch): Colby can do it.

Certainly others on the team can do some of these things. But Colby can do them all.

Yep hart was a senior and yeah I think that’s the trajectory I see for Jones as well…don’t see him leaving early but I guess crazier things have happened. He needs to develop a consistent outside shot and get to the 36-37% range. If he can do that and continue to grow year over year, I think he can get to the nba and stick. He’s athletic enough.

In addition to his size, skills and athleticism, he just seems to have a high IQ and has a sense for where to be, especially when it comes to rebounding. Some guys have a sense for what’s going to happen before it happens, and he seems to be one of those guys.

I think Jones can see everything on the court in slow motion and he knows where he needs to be. He just needs more assurance on offense. Go to the bucket and make smart shots. I trust Colby.

When i watched him last year, i likened him to a Scottie Pippen, a swiss army knife player who can do it all. The kid is a stud.

I don't really care how his talent translates to NBA, but I sure like how it translates to NCAAMB. Looking forward to seeing it translate to BE.

So somewhere between Jalen Suggs and Scottie Pippen? So much for Josh Hart, I guess? Now you’re talking. Good for you guys.

I don’t see Scottie Pippen at all FWIW. Suggs and Hart though… that’s fair, no? Hart has always been a better shooter unless Colby has underperformed through his fist couple dozen games.
