Mack or someone has to get thru to this kid before he gets suspended. He has to get his temper under control. Silly fouls are one thing, silly techs, if you get enough of them will get you suspended, and get you a bad rep with refs. That, in turn will lead to borderline calls ending up as techs. Also opposing coaches will start having one of their lesser bigs bait him to get him tossed from a game. He's very talented , but his temper is waaaaaay out of control, and if it's not fixed it will be trouble for him and for X.
Last night the game was over, and he get stuffed twice by Fischer, so he decides to throw him across the floor. What if it had been a tight game. Maybe we need a team psychiatrist.

He didn't throw him across the floor. Let's keep a little perspective here. It was a dead ball technical, nothing more.

Is this accurate? How many does it take to get suspended? I think JR has 7 or 8 so far, it seems he would have been suspended already if such a rule exists.
I love the energy, emotion, and passion he plays with. I want to see him be more controlled, but I don't want to take away what makes him who he is either. I already think he has a target on his back, and he doesn't get many "benefit of the doubt" calls. If he can find a way to harness his energy and stay out of foul trouble, he will collect a bunch of awards during his college career."All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and I'm fine.--Jeff Spicoli"

WHEN (not if) X wins a National Championship, someone will come on here on Tuesday a.m. to complain about the inflection in Jim Nantz's voice immediately before they play One Shining Moment.

Another kid flopped at the end of the first half in a recent game (forget who). It cost us points needlessly. You win and lose based on points. I love Jalen, but he's got to seriously cut back on this silly crap! Once is not a big deal. Twice? OK. But this is a pattern.

I think we all want Jalen to cut this crap out. I do like his passion but there has to be way to handle it properly. I suspect this is the real reason why Jalen doesn't start. Mack had a very lenghty conversation w/ him on the bench after that technical. It's a immaturity issue. I think he will get it figured out or X will figure it out for him. Meaning, sitting the pine.
