Don't see your point, Xavier didn't stop recruting Chris Thomas.

The kid had a strong relationship with Rasheen Davis, and had he decided not to follow Davis to Manhatten, Xavier would have honored their committment.

Fair enough. I just meant tha the definition of flake is really someone who is not committed to anything. So it seems like you're really saying that Xavier would have taken his commitment if he wasn't such a flake, which is really only a slight difference from what sweet16 said.

Actually, that is quite common for a kid to follow an assistant coach.

Everyone needs to overcome the misconception that a player needs to be on ESPN all the time in order to get attention from scouts. The scouting industry for the NBA is much bigger than that. When a player is really good, scouts know about it, plain and simple. Hell, scouts have often been following these kids since they were underclassmen at some random high school.

Nuts, I don't want to get into a big "thang" with you here but that is not what happened. Xavier backed off on him......not the other way around. If I told you where my information came from I'm certain that your response would be something to the effect of "that's good enough for me". Having said that, I really don't care if you believe me or not. What does bother me however is that misinformation (ie Thomas de-commits) such as this, in my opinion, does Mack, the basketball program and the university a huge disservice. We no longer wanted that headcase to be a part of our program. Unfortunately, as I stated before, the coaches can't comment so the only story that's made public is the player's.
