We will find out, but a quick google search says Johnson is at KSU. That would amount to tampering to making an offer to a player not in the portal.

Thought he was in the portal already. Regardless, Tampering has been happening for years, no one cares or at least cares enough to anything about it. Traore was tampered with and so is every guy that goes to the portal with a do not contact tag attached to his name. Regardless, Johnson is the rumor, though if they don’t get him, I’m sure Tennessee will be fine without Nico.

Avery Johnson isn't leaving K-State.

The difference though is the Heupel will be getting a better deal with either an even better program than Tennessee or a chance at the NFL in the future. Nico is leaving the starting QB job of a team in the SEC (coached by an offensive guru) for a million or two more to go play at a mediocre football program like UCLA or some other school that doesn't matter. I don't even like Tennessee, but Nico's Dad is screwing the kid over...now next year he is going to have to deal with a big pile of shit all year long.

I’m not following this story closely….but what is your position on this?
Is Nico a legit NFL prospect. There are about 60 to 90 NFL QBs and there is ZERO money to be made after college unless you are in the NFL. It’s not basketball where you can play overseas for 10 years making a couple hundred K.
“A million dollars or two more”……is the lottery for this guy.
I hate the NIL. And the portal. But if there was any example of how to best utilize it, it’s the case of a good college QB without NFL prospects
