Mack made it known he wanted the job. There was an interview. So something happened there where Greg wasn’t thrilled or Mack. This is a shock.

Whoever it is I have no interest in the new brand of Xavier mediocre ball. Maybe Sean was right. Maybe these two asshats at the university DON'T want basketball to be priority. They are about to learn a hard lesson.

Excellent point. Someone or a small group will be paying the salary - they essentially decide. Fr Gene taught me at X long ago that he with the gold makes the rules!

Yeah it would appear Mack was the target and it feel apart. Which means likely at least a several day delay to reorganize. Which means missing more portal time.

Maybe they couldn’t agree on numbers. Maybe Chris didn’t like how the NIL was shaping up. Or maybe there were a number of donors who didn’t want Mack back?

Seems like we are on the same disappointing path as UC basketball. We also both seem to have terrible ADs

I hope this is an awful take and whoever we hire crushes it, but Mack was by far the most accomplished candidate.
