I like Mack for the hire. Huss would be a good get, I think Valentine is going to be a good coach at Loyola. Gerlufsen at SFU is a good get that nobody is really talking about. Guy has SFU playing good defense and overachieves with the resources.

You didn’t mention me but that is okay because, like Cousin Eddie, I am holding out for management. But, at least, I can swim….

Whether you dislike Chris Mack’s aloofness and prickly personality or oppose his return to Xavier because of how he left, tell me—who is objectively available that’s a better option? Based on results not speculation.

I want Mack back. I want the team and program to play with a chip on shoulder like they did with Mack. I’m excited about it.

At the same time I don’t think it’s foolish to try and get your luck with a mid major guy. Like Grant McCasland who is at Texas Tech. Or Nate Oats (who funny enough I saw a rumor he was on the search firm list when Steele was hired). It’s a risk, they can turn into Wes Miller. But just looking at results can leave you short sided in a search.

I’m team Chris Mack and now. But I understand the feeling of X just being played by a mean X gf in Miller, now we are debating starting a relationship with another who broke our heart out of the blue when everything else seemed so perfect at the time.
