You are always so extreme....we'll be filling our rosters with D2 players is the latest example, lmao.
A roster full of D2 players just beat Missouri in the tournament…kinda my point, there’s so much talent that you find the right pieces and they fit/gel together you will be fine. Xavier has more than enough to compete at a high level.

Do I say we’d be filling our rosters with D2 guys? I mean it’s right there in this thread. There will be a lot of D2 guys filling the bottom levels of D1. And the guys that should be at the bottom level of D1 will suddenly be mid majors. And the mid major level guys will be filling out the bottom end of the Big 5.

And we’re at the bottom end of the Big 5, in case you hadn’t noticed.

Tell me the recruiting pitch we’ll be using. Please.

We’re trying to make the tournament and build a competitive roster and we have zero freaking guys. How do you recruit INTO that? You know how? By paying TOP dollar, which we can maybe do twice….possibly 3 times. Then what?

Honestly, we were already going to have a bunch of needs WITH Miller. But we had 3 guys back and some decent incoming freshmen.

Also it’s absolutely laughable that I’m “always wrong”. I called this shitshow 5 years ago while a bunch of you Pollyannas just put your head in the sand and said it would all be fine just based on the fact that you wanted it to be.

The only thing I was wrong about was how fast this has all happened.

Xavier has had 3 mid major guys come in and be all big east players…Florida is built by mid majors. Broome for Auburn? Came from mid major. Alabama 2 best players? Came from Ohio university and North Dakota state..

What’s the issue building from mid majors?

We are NOT at the bottom level of the Big 5. There are 79 teams, we are in the top 40.

Please don't use facts and logic when arguing with Hett. He only operates on his feelings/opinions/and the end is near emotions.

He has predicted NUMEROUS times college athletics are/will be ruined! Ruined he says! The tournament just set viewership records, the matchups this weekend are phenomenal.

Not to mention here he is as invested as ever, lmao.

    RUINED!

And their coach left after literally less than a full year. I’m sure they will strike gold again.

Trust me, nobody would ever accuse you of using any logic. Blue colored glasses….all day. But never logic

It was just weird argument to make that mid major players will be filling out bottom end of big 5 teams. Take a look around, some of the best teams in the country are filled by mid major players.

The 1st team all American team: Walter Clayton Jr started his career at Iona. Mark Sears started at Ohio University. Johni Broome started at Morehead State. 3/5 1st team all Americans came from mid major level.
