The announcer today in reference to St. John’s said “they are so fun to watch.” To each their own I guess, but I think it’s awful to watch them play. They foul every single time down the court, and can’t shoot a lick. How’s that fun to watch? I’m all for tough d, and being gritty but they just turn the game into football.

I didn’t know who reffed the game, but looked at the foul discrepancy and saw somehow creighton of all teams had 6 more fouls than St. John’s. That’s impossible based on the way the sju plays. So I assume I bet it was boc… checks notes… yep of course it was him and his crew.

Think I saw everyone’s favorite ref, BOC, on the court for the Creighton / St. John game.

Golf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

The Big East protecting their shitty refs is getting out of control. Can we get someone in charge that knows wtf they are doing? If you didn't see the Big East fined English 5k for "derogatory comments" at the ref in our game. Why are we protecting incompetent officials? Val needs to go.

In this day and age, we need a commissioner and a conference that is more proactive vs reactionary, forward thinking etc whatever you want to call it, or else we will get left behind, no matter how many titles we have out of the last decade.

Assuming Xavier wins tonight, is it better for Xavier to separate from Villanova with a UConn win or do you get greedy and hope that the Musketeers can possibly catch UConn for fourth place? UConn has been very unpredictable of late with the win at Creighton (along with the loss at Hall).

Looking at the schedule, Nova has a good shot at winning out. So, I am rooting for UConn. In any case, X must win out or no Dance.

Winning out? UConn? They aren’t that good this year it turns out. Hassan is playing at about 50% and Mahaney has been a bum. Karaban has also regressed as of late. I think they at the least lose two more.

Yeah, tough call. I posted on another thread that the BE Top 4 only had 4 losses aside from beating each other. We had 2 of those and Nova and GT each had 1. Nova then beat SJU and if they beat UConn, they will have 3 wins against the top. We have to beat Creighton to get a 3rd win against that group. And we split with Nova. Could be a logjam at 4-5-6. That wouldn’t be ideal.

I think finishing in 4th alone would be huge. But UConn and Nova have to take some bad losses to get there
