I think it's important for everyone to realize that no fanbase in the history of sports has ever overvalued their actual worth more than Indiana fans currently do. If I counted right, IU has been to the Sweet Sixteen four times in the past thirty years, and been past it once. Yet they think of themselves as a Duke/Kentucky/Kansas level program. They actually think the Big East is beneath them. In reality more than half of the teams in the Big East (including Xavier, I might add) are better and more accomplished programs in the post-turn-table era of Western Civilization. Sure, IU was pretty good back in the days when people still used VCR's and had no clue what a DVD even was, but since then...not so much! Not at all! They're not that good. I mean...when an IU fan talks about Purdue and legitimately thinks Purdue's program is beneath theirs, it's difficult to restrain from laughing at them.

I mean, those IU fans are unquestionably correct.

Oh, sorry, thought this was the college football thread. My bad.

Now that’s funny. It hurts, but it’s funny.

So far, Miami, IU, Florida State and Virginia are open. I am guessing after the season Villanova will come open as well. I am curious if Pitt will come open or if they give Capel one more year? I think Hubert Davis gets one more year at UNC. Not sure what Minnesota will do with Ben Johnson. Keeping an eye on how Texas finishes this year.

If Texas flames out I won’t be shocked if millers name popped up. I’ve mentioned before how they were in serious talks after beard got fired. More than mutual interest from both sides. Interim coach made it impossible for them to move on. Maybe the past two years changed that. Maybe Sean would be cheaper.

I still think my gut says miller wants to and would love getting X to the final four, but a school throwing a considerable amount more in NIL funds will be hard to pass on IMO

Craig Smith out at Utah. Odd timing, but out he is.

BYU's win at Arizona must've been the last straw.

BYU beat Kansas worse than Utah did. That's why he got fired.

Going to be interesting if Fran Mccaffery "retires" at the end of this season. Need another word to describe a coach that wants to continue, but the administration does not want to call it a firing.

Sounds like Miami is going to hire Duke assistant Jai lucas. I know he is supposed to be a good recruiter, but no HC experience. Thought for sure they would go with Will Wade or Richard Pitino.
