Take the win, get on the plane, come home and get ready for the next one. They did what they needed to do.

Miller's postgame:
1. Happy to win - need to win to keep confidence, just really needed a win
2. Too sloppy at the end, we didn't give all out effort the last 4 minutes - in response to question that defense was good today (Sean didn't like the lob question haha)
3. Freemantle had a good game, Conwell found his way in the 2nd half
4. DePaul wore down today but X too sloppy at the end of game
5. Bench had a nice game, Hunter had a good game - 3 offense rebounds is what we need

We just finished watching this riveting Saturday Big East showcase game....and my daughter asked "when was the last time X had a 1 win January?"
I immediately said probably Covid '21. But no....googled and we won all 3. Both '19 and '20 were close....but both teams ended up with January 2 W's.
It may take a home win vs GTown to avoid the "1" this year.

If they can just keep their heads a little bit above water and win at least 2 of the next 5, the rest of the conference schedule is very doable

What was a close game with a 20-17 DePaul lead got completely blown open with a 28-3 Xavier run in about 12-13 minutes. Also helped that Xavier did a much better job on the glass with DePaul going cold at a very inopportune time.
It was a much-needed confindence booster, but now they have to go into rock-fight mode against Villanova. They run a tempo that's slow as molasses and you can't afford empty possessions against them.
