So, my parents have a digital landline phone, and they are getting what appear to be robocalls every minute or two or so. It’s from a different number each time, but it’s always some sort of clicking sound. It’s as if the numbers are being generated by a machine and it just keeps calling. It is understandably annoying as hell, and seems like it constitutes harassment and should be illegal.
Has this ever happened to anyone here, and if so how did you get it to stop???

We were getting bombarded back in late summer and knew it would just get worse with the election season so we finally made the decision to get rid of our landline. It's been very peaceful since!

I think you can have something added to the phone that requires the caller to push a button to indicate they are not a telemarketer. Some sort of call blocker. Talk to the phone company.
