Isn't that what he just said?

Likely will miss the shootout I bet.

Yeah it was old news and Skillings will likely NOT miss the shootout. We're still over 3+ weeks out. He may not be 100%, but would be shocked if he isnt back and playing

Marquette is one of the few teams that have not only gone out and played, but gone out and won. They're coming off what I would consider an almost equally impressive win against Maryland considering that game was on Maryland's floor.

I think teams that schedule that way get better sooner even if they don't win. Coaches seem to want to ease into their season and are hesitant to play a big game early because they feel they aren't ready for it yet. I still think it's better to play big early. Even though Duke lost to Kentucky, and Alabama lost at Purdue, and Arizona lost at Wisconsin, and Baylor lost REALLY big at Gonzaga, and Houston lost to Auburn, I think all those teams got better sooner. Since those are all probable tier-1 losses it isn't going to set them back, and they're better now on the court now than they would have been had they just stayed at home and ordered cupcakes off the pastry cart like several other teams have done.
