very very well said. Public RepsIf I recall correctly, I think my daughter punched me in 2020 when I told her I wrote in Yang and didn't vote for Trump.
Oddly, women and minorities aren't a monolith. And most don't really think he was a sexual assaulter and think the felonies he was convicted of were lawfare bullshit.
Also, it was the Democrats' job to field a viable alternative to the alleged sexual assaulter and convicted felon. Biden was pretty mediocre back in 2020, but he would do. However, YOU ignored the evidence your eyes must have clearly been reporting to you about Biden's fitness for another term. Even after that trainwreck detate you were still claiming it was because of a stutter or some other nonsense. I mean, if we're truly to take the notiion that Trump is dangerous seriously, how could anyone think it was a good idea to put the doddering old man in Chief up as the Dem nominee? And then panic and replace him (without a vote) with a cackling empty suit who was an incredibly unpopular Vice President whose 2020 Presidential campaign was a complete disaster.
I'm sure you're going to continue smugly discredit the majority of Americans who decided that Trump was the better option for America. I doubt you'll do any self-reflection on the absolute shit show that is the Democratic Party and the fact that you spout their absurd talking points on here day after day after day.
Our country absolutely deserves better. But we were offered up two terrible choices, and we had to pick one of them. I'm disappointed that Republicans chose Trump to be their nominee over DeSantis and Haley, who I think would be much better Presidents. i'm disappointed that Democrats didn't even offer their party members the dignity of a choice as to who their nominee would be. So here we are. People voted for the alleged sexual abuser and convicted felon over the shit sandwich. Next time please provide a better alternative.

You may not get what you think is a REASONABLE answer (and that's fine), but I think you DO get the answer! Generally speaking, I think most (not all, but MOST) who voted for Trump voted for him for the reasons they're giving you. That's it. If it was for any other reason, they'd tell you what that reason was.
So here is a tip for the Democrats...LISTEN TO THEM!! When they say why they voted the way they did, BELIEVE THEM!!! Don't come up with some other reason, and then base your next strategy off of whatever reasons that you made up."You can't fix stupid." Ron White

This is perfect.
Paul, have you ever considered that your definition of a reasonable answer is one that aligns with your world view? Maybe that's the reason you can't seem to find one. "Beats the alternative" is a perfectly reasonable answer to why Trump won in a landslide.
If the Dems don't start to look inward after last night's debacle, they're going to be in big trouble for a long time. They rammed an awful VP and an awful candidate on to the ticket and are paying the price dearly. The fact that you and the other Dems can't seem to grasp that Trump is very much a product they created is a real head scratcher to me.Last edited by Smails; 11-06-2024 at 10:58 AM.

So, what were their reasons?
Harris is a cackling empty suit? A VP who has been a prosecutor, a senator and 4 years as a VP traveling the world for our country?
Harris is a communist? Really, that's a reason?
What reasonable answer was ever offered.
The criticisms of Trump didn't come from Democrats. They came from Republicans who had served with him and knew him best.
And that's not something Dems should listen to?
You didn't have senior administration officials or anything like a former VP saying Harris was unfit for office.
I think your analysis is often on point Brew. But can't agree with it this time.
Trump played a great game of getting people to believe our country was in the dump. I don't think so, but enough people did.
Smart politics....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Reasons: She's a communist. Yep that's correct. Look at her positions and her voting record before she became VP, Paul. It's public information.
"Travelling the world for our country." ----what does this even mean? She's had jobs. That's nice. Travis Steele has had jobs too, doesn't mean he's good at them.
Dems lied for 4 years. Paul, not just about Trump (I don't care about that) but about our country. And, you continue to parrot the nonsense today.
Biden's Chief of Staff said inflation wasn't real. They said crime was down. They said the border wasn't an issue.
If you want a reasonable answer? It's because he is better than the alternative. Not sure if you have noticed, but that's how moderates have voted for a long time now.

And this actually proves my point. The reasons are simple enough for a 3rd grader to understand. sometimes the reasons are actually very simplistic.
I mean, lets take you as an example. All you've wanted to do today is beat up on Paul and the other Libs. You've offered up nothing else other than that.Last edited by xubrew; 11-06-2024 at 11:01 AM.
