I think a big reason we are so divided and there’s so much hate isn’t so much because of the things that are actually happening, but because of how so many people actually seek out something to trigger them. They want something to yell about. They want something they can blame other people for. They want to be offended. They want to be angry. And if the thing that makes them angry or offended doesn’t even turn out to be true, then…oh well!

I’m not just talking about this post. You see it everywhere. Things that used to be innocuous will now start a culture war. So will things that aren’t even true at all. I think that’s really our biggest problem.
