Every time you post I’m reminded of this:
Wood drastically underestimates the impact of social distinctions predicated upon wealth, especially inherited wealth..." You got that from Vickers, Work in Essex County, Page 98, right? Yeah I read that too. Were you gonna plagiarize the whole thing for us—you have any thoughts of—of your own on this matter? Or do—is that your thing, you come into a bar, you read some obscure passage and then you pretend, you pawn it off as your own—your own idea just to impress some girls, embarrass my friend?
Hell you were probably affleck and Damon’s inspiration for the character he is speaking to.
Thanks for your continuous pompous contributions and giving me a laugh.

You don’t know me and I certainly don’t know you. There’s nothing pompous about being correct.
And Matt and Ben made a great movie. One of my favs. Up there with “Field of Dreams” and “Dead Poets”.
Edit: Social Distortion is a great, great band.
Double edit: You are mistaken. I don’t believe I’ve tried to pass off someone else’s work as my own.Last edited by Strange Brew; 09-15-2024 at 06:38 PM.

I'm not shocked by much anymore. If this happened, I wouldn't be surprised. If it is a complete fabrication, I wouldn't be surprised. If there actually is a whistleblower, but the whistleblower is lying, i wouldn't be surprised.
Having said that, what questions were asked or topics weer brought up to either one of them that anyone with any sense at all did not see coming??"You can't fix stupid." Ron White

I think this is now officially out of hand.
Trying to claim you won an election that you clearly lost and then trying to lead in insurrection to declare yourself the winner is pretty bad. I actually think assassinating someone so they can't win is infinitely worse. Both are threats to Democracy. I know the Left likes to claim the moral high ground here, but the assassination attempts are even worse!!
"If we don't think we can beat him, we'll just shoot him!" That just shouldn't sit right with anyone.Last edited by xubrew; 09-16-2024 at 01:36 PM.

And it's definitely not the "normal" left that thinks that. But there were way too many "Why did that guy have such bad aim?" "jokes" after the first attempt. Shit's crazy.

The left doesn't want him assassinated. They want him to get embarrassed at the ballot box and then actually face the consequences for his actions. He should be completely debased and humiliated through the Courts, to the extent that in 5 years people will deny ever having supported him in the first place.
If he gets assassinated, he becomes a martyr. The right then probably wins the election off the momentum from it and we have to spend the rest of our lives commuting on the Donald Trump Freedom Freeway to fly out of Trump International airport."If our season was based on A-10 awards, there’d be a lot of empty space up in the rafters of the Cintas Center." - Chris Mack
