Yes, Dems have added to the debt, often to pull us out of a hole like 2008 and 2020. And Clinton screwed up signing Glass-Steagal repeal.
But he left a surplus behind, and we could have started paying down the debt instead of a massive tax cut followed by unfunded wars.
I certainly don’t want Trump back in to have another tax cut, primarily benefitting the well to do, and adding more debt.

A press conference that could lturn the country's political landscape upside down less than 4 months before "the most important election of our lifetimes" with "Democracy on the ballot". I think "interesting" may be an understatement.

I think it's always the right of the voters to question the competency of their candidate, especially mental competency.
So, I think it's up to Biden to address the concerns, allay them or step aside.

Similarly, I'm struck by the total abdication of this duty by the Republicans.
While leading Democrats are questioning Biden's situation and it dominates the news, I never hear of Republicans questioning:
- why they have a convicted felon on the ticket
- why he has no policy proposals and spends his time at rallies fear mongering
- questioning his mental competency as he wonders all over making no sense about sharks, and electric boats, and other nonsense

Just imagine if Biden had spewed that nonsense about the sharks and boats. You can't imagine that.

I’m not sure the Dem’s would be so public about their concerns if Biden were expected to win.

I confess to being in that camp. Biden has been the best President in my (considerable) lifetime, and I think he could continue to govern well because of both his instincts and advisors, if he were re-elected. But I don’t believe that he can win. So I want to replace him with a more electable candidate who shares his vision. That’s Kamala, I believe.
