Sorry but this is incredibly shortsighted. There is a lot that can done. Without going into a long diatribe. Here are things that can be done:

    1. Fund mental health institutions properly.
    2. Make getting the proper help affordable. It’s incredibly expensive and rarely covered by insurance.
    3. Stop the obsession with guns in this country. We are the only civilized society with the obsession. Do something sensible to quell this at least a small amount.
    4. Overhaul our pharmacy institution. It’s full of corruption. Fix it.

Yeah, 1 and 2 would be money well spent, opposed to doing nothing. Would be hard to know if it would actually prevent any of these incidents. 3-4 related, but different conversation.

All I am saying is, if someone is known to have intentions of shooting up someplace, they should be incarcerated and treated until that person could be safely released and monitored. That would 100%, for sure, prevent some of this madness.

Fair. I don’t know the circumstances but I saw he was at a place for two weeks earlier this year. I wonder what happened after that? Why only two weeks? Money? Who knows but obviously whatever we are doing isn’t working.

This is like third or fourth hand even but a client of my wife has a friend in the reserves and was in the same reserve with this guy years and years ago. The friend said this guy was “nuts” then.

Our “system” is failing and no one in charge really seems to give a f

What? No mask mandates this time?
What is the pharmacy institution? Is it like the healthcare industrial complex?

Guess we're not seeing Mike Pence at the next Republican debate. Mother told him to come home.

Wtf are you talking about? Emotional arguments? Not really. Pharmacy institution is pretty simple. At every single step from the script being written to you getting the actual script there is profit and corruption built in to every step of the process. I work in the health care industry, it’s scary what isn’t illegal when it comes to drugs and the process in this country.

Guns—-it’s pretty simple. Sensible gun legislation. you don’t need an amendment for that. You need to get the nra out of Washington.

Agreed. They really need to make the PBMs (pharmacy benefit managers) go away. They just add unnecessary complications and costs to the process. The consumer ends paying a lot more than would be necessary without them.

So because you disagree with something I guess, you call me an idiot and I’m the one with the emotional argument? Ok
