I know very little about this guy, but a Trump ally and election denier doesn't give me warm fuzzies.

Because the House majority is so slim. It became evident, McCarthy could not be trusted to produce enough votes from his members to pass key legislation.

I liked the idea of one Republican voting for Jeffries just as a warning shot over the bow to the rest of the party. Get serious and pick someone that 217 can at worst hold their nose and vote for, or THAT might happen.
