This post would have a bit more weight if Paul had ever said anything negative about a Democrat politician.

Maybe fair point. Note that I did point out there is no defense for the crazy stuff by Dems. I'm am categorically against any unlawful action.

Have you seen any Republicans on here disavow the unlawful actions on their side? Even the guilty pleas don't seem to bother them.

I'm pretty certain XVille is a Republican. He gives Republican politicians (and their enablers) plenty of hell.

I am a registered republican. Jan 6th was wrong, and those involved should be punished.

I'm a registered independent but probably vote republican 75-80% of the time. Only time I really don't is if it's a MAGA republican or a moderate dem vs a socially conservative republican.

Anyways, yes I think both sides are full of complete idiots.

My brother, a staunch republican who was the speaker of the house in MO for a few terms, has told me enough stories that I'm fully aware of just how bought and paid for all politicians are. And, that's at the state level.

Agree, on the grift. Heard good ol’boy Mitch on Ukraine funding and just facepalmed.

To paraphrase: It’s good because we’re spending the money here to rebuild our weapon supplies. So, in essence we’re going to pay to prolong the war so Ukraine can use up our old “toys” and we can build new ones.

Kind of a goofy question but if you don’t vote for MAGA or Social Conservatives, what Rs DO you vote for?

Unlike people who defend the lawless actions of Republicans.
Would be refreshing to read some Republican here saying Jan 6th was wrong and those involved should be punished.

Cheeseboro and Powell pleading guilty for their nonsense should give some people pause.
January 6 was a demonstration gone wrong. Entering the Capitol was wrong, but people are free to peacefully demonstrate, which, for the most part, January 6 was.
Of course the demonstrations on 1/6 were fueled by anger over the way that the “Firey but peaceful (lol)” demonstrations were encouraged and condoned by the Democrats and Progressives and the results therefrom. Where most of the Demonstrators(see Rioters) were caught then released with no consequences or even charges in some cases. Where “Demonstrators” in Portland assaulted, injured and maimed Federal Forces and the Federal Courthouse. Where “Demonstrators” in Kenosha burned the city to the ground. Where “Demonstrators” in Atlanta, Louisville, Philadelphia and Minneapolis burned and looted. All with little consequence because of Progressive Democrat Prosecutors and corrupt Democrat City Administrations.

Maybe an equal application of the law in 2020 would have tempered what happened in January 2021?
I believe that is a good bet.

I'm open to being called out and being wrong on this but I think some embers may have been from Freedom of speech being hampered for such a long period of time.
