The terrorists wouldn't be at the table.
Elected representatives of the people would be; the same as recognized at the UN.
Why would you think the terrorist would be invited. Just because Trump negotiated with the Taliban, and not the Afghan government, doesn't mean we should do it again.

As I noted to Smails, terrorists wouldn't be at the table. Trump negotiated with the Taliban, not our supported Afghan government.
You can see how well that turned out. Things we worked on there for years, including schooling for women, etc. were quickly torn down.
No thank you....he went up late, and I was already up there.

This might be the most stupid thing you have posted on this thread, among tons of others.
Stop the shift from Hamas.
Trump never said they would close Bagram Air Base before any pullout, nor leave any military equipment behind. Plus there were conditions explicit in the Taliban agreement that were not being followed by the Taliban. Biden had every right to disregard and cancel it, but he chose to plow ahead with a chaotic and poorly executed withdrawal causing the death of Servicemembers and American citizens being left behind. PLUS, much of the military equipment that Biden left behind has now appeared, where? WITH HAMAS!! Through Iran!!
Uh, that is not an argument you really want to bring up Paul. Your guy totally fucked it up. But I’ll wager you were calling for withdrawal years before it happened."I Got CHAMPIONS in that Lockerroom!" -Stanley Burrell

As to this lunacy, what the hell do you mean? Hamas IS the Gaza Government. They ARE the terrorists.
Mahmoud Abbas of the PLO is the President. Abbas is internationally recognized in his position(s) and Hamas and Fatah conducted numerous negotiations in the following years, leading to an agreement in April 2014 for a Unity Governmen and to the recognition of his office by Hamas.Abbas was also chosen as the president of the State of Palestine by the PLO Central Council on 23 November 2008, a position he had held unofficially since 8 May 2005. He was only supposed to serve for 4 years, but as despots do, has never left office.
Abbas served as the first prime minister of the Palestinian Authority from March to September 2003.Before being named Prime Minister, Abbas led the PLO Negotiations Affairs Department. He has been accused of distorting Jewish history and has been denounced as a Holocaust denier for his numerous statements throughout the years. Finally besides siding with terrorists, Abbas has been a corruption machine, embezzling money from aid given to Palestine. Of course you want to negotiate with THAT GUY!!
Oh, yeah. That guy is not a terror supporter and a friend of Israel. LARGE EYE ROLL!!
Of course they will be at the table- front and center.Last edited by Masterofreality; 10-11-2023 at 04:31 PM.

I'd have to bet on Israel. 360,000 troops and air superiority but think the hostages are doomed.

In 2005, the Palestinian people had a chance to change their trajectory from terror. There were 7 candidates on the ballot.
They chose the despot Abbas who was supposed to only serve a 4 year term. Guess what? He’s still in power and not leaving. He’s totally in bed with Hamas and Hezbollah.
Despite the apologists attempts to whitewash, the Palestinian people have done this to themselves.

For those with reading comprehension challenges, I noted that terrorists would NOT be at the table.
That means the terrorist group Hamas would NOT be at the table.

For those with fact acceptance challenges, I note that Hamas, the ruling body in The Gaza Strip and the Terrorist org who conducted the raid in Israel, would be at the table.
