Or until they get a Republican President and Senate and accept a lovely retirement package. In other words, expect Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito (who are already under the microscope for relationships with mega Republican donors) to retire under those circumstances.
And if they do get replaced, then we'll hear even more noise from the Democrats about potentially expanding the Supreme Court.

Nothing Thomas or Alito did was illegal or against the rules of the Court, nor its rules of reporting.
Sotomayor also “accepted” relationships with individuals who had business with the Court. You never seem to hear about that though, except in the NY Post.

Anyone care to guess the ruling on Biden’s student loan forgiveness program? I’m thinking they might punt and say the plaintiffs have no standing. If they do rule, I expect 6-3 or 5-4 against the forgiveness.

I think they rule 5-4 (Barrett joining the 3 liberals) on standing issue with Roberts being the swing vote and finding some narrow way to say they have standing that would be almost impossible to apply to any other case.
Then it is 6-3 citing the newly minted major questions doctrine to strike down the program.
If there was a 5th vote against standing (whether Gorsuch or Kavanaugh) I think that ruling could grow to 7-2 as the conservatives do no want to expand standing unless they really have to."If our season was based on A-10 awards, there’d be a lot of empty space up in the rafters of the Cintas Center." - Chris Mack

Nothing says “The Democratic Party” more than forgiving loans to well off college graduate elites-probably mostly white- and sticking the invoice on to all Americans including blue collars, people of color and other plebes.
