Ha! Yes they did. All you want to quote is the “very fine people” as if he was only referring to Nazi’s and White Supremicists.
From your prized Politifact, that you take as gospel:
“Reporter: (Inaudible) "… both sides, sir. You said there was hatred, there was violence on both sides. Are the --"
Trump: "Yes, I think there’s blame on both sides. If you look at both sides -- I think there’s blame on both sides. And I have no doubt about it, and you don’t have any doubt about it either. And if you reported it accurately, you would say."
Reporter: "The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest --"
Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."
Reporter: "George Washington and Robert E. Lee are not the same."
Trump: "George Washington was a slave owner. Was George Washington a slave owner? So will George Washington now lose his status? Are we going to take down -- excuse me, are we going to take down statues to George Washington? How about Thomas Jefferson? What do you think of Thomas Jefferson? You like him?"
Reporter: "I do love Thomas Jefferson."
Trump: "Okay, good. Are we going to take down the statue? Because he was a major slave owner. Now, are we going to take down his statue?
"So you know what, it’s fine. You’re changing history. You’re changing culture. And you had people -- and I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists -- because they should be condemned totally. But you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Okay? And the press has treated them absolutely unfairly.
"Now, in the other group also, you had some fine people. But you also had troublemakers, and you see them come with the black outfits and with the helmets, and with the baseball bats. You had a lot of bad people in the other group."
Reporter: "Sir, I just didn’t understand what you were saying. You were saying the press has treated white nationalists unfairly? I just don’t understand what you were saying."
Trump: "No, no. There were people in that rally -- and I looked the night before -- if you look, there were people protesting very quietly the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee. I’m sure in that group there were some bad ones. The following day it looked like they had some rough, bad people -- neo-Nazis, white nationalists, whatever you want to call them.
"But you had a lot of people in that group that were there to innocently protest, and very legally protest -- because, I don’t know if you know, they had a permit. The other group didn’t have a permit. So I only tell you this: There are two sides to a story. I thought what took place was a horrible moment for our country -- a horrible moment. But there are two sides to the country.”

From the esteemed Wall Street Journal.
This whole thing began from an obviously humorous comment by Larry Kudlow on Fox Business. You progressives have zero sense of humor.
And, no. I’m not wishing this Climate Change lunacy on anybody

Oh, the I was just joking fall back. That's getting a little old.
It's so lame that all the R's jumped on board to gin up their base.
Pretty weak. Just like using Ohmar's partial tweet to imply she was advocating breaking the law.

Oh...we were just joking....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Read the Wall Street Journal Paul. It was a joke by Kudlow but based in fact of a misguided climate agenda. I guess that goes right over your head as you flippantly dismiss reality.
The joke is that Maddow, CNN (except for their Nicholas Sandman libel) and the Washington Post are never held accountable for their undermining narratives.
Open your blue closed mind. You might actually learn something.
Or not. Because your side is about to get smoked in next years mid terms, then in 2024. Why don’t you just move to a Democrat controlled state/city? Oh, you won’t because they’re all decrepit messes that you can barely afford to live in. Just stay in your well managed Republican safe haven state. How ironic.Last edited by Masterofreality; 11-13-2021 at 07:20 PM.

Well, that certainly explains why Fox News and the Texas Governor and others repeated it as fact. My bad.
Also, I was born and raised in the South. Although it is a scene of much tragedy in the past, it's a nice place and one I chose to live in....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Paul, will you agree to this statement? Hannity took part of Omar’s actual words about voting out of context to support his point of view, just like the MSM took Trump’s actual words about Charlottesville out of context to support their point of view.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkGolf is a relatively simple game, played by reasonably intelligent people, stupidly.

I think that is a fair question, and I would agree this happens quite often.
I don't agree with these two examples.
The Unite the Right rally was a white supremacist[5][6][7][8] rally that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, from August 11 to 12, 2017.[9][10][11] Far-right groups participated, including self-identified members of the alt-right,[12] neo-Confederates,[13] neo-fascists,[14] white nationalists,[15] neo-Nazis,[16] Klansmen,[17] and various right-wing militias.[18] Some groups chanted racist and antisemitic slogans and carried weapons, Nazi and neo-Nazi symbols, the Valknut, Confederate battle flags, Deus Vult crosses, flags, and other symbols of various past and present anti-Islamic and anti-Semitic groups
The stated goal of one side was white nationalism, and there were counter protestors. And one of them was run over.
I don't agree with trying to provide some cover, like Marge Schott saying Hitler did some good things.
On the other hand, Ohmar was urging people to vote, one of our basic rights. To turn that into an effort to saying she was encouraging lawbreaking (by leaving out the part of her text noting you can register the same day) appears to be an effort to create a false narrative...and many people took it and ran with it for political gain. What was "Hannity's point of view" that he was trying to support by taking the words out of context? That she was encouraging law breaking? She wasn't.
Perhaps there were "fine people" in the Unite the Right group. But they were participating in marches, and Nazi symbols and slogans, and hateful speech about Jews, etc. Seems to be a bridge too far....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Paul’s favorite Washington Post:
“Biden’s approval rating hits new low as economic concern rises.
38% approval rating….That without a 24/7 news cycle trying to undermine the President like they did with Trump.
