Agree MOR. I think the chaos (fancy press term) at the Kabul airport just got more chaotic. Now ISIS is threatening at the airport and we are currently looking for other ways to evacuate. Guess the JV team is back.
This has to be one the biggest strategic blunders in decades. The ineptitude from this administration over this international debacle should scare the hell out of us all.

It was a 500-year rain event. I'd doubt they engineered it for that severe of a flood, since the cost to replace a section - if the event happened - would be a lot less than the cost to design it to withstand a 500 year event.
But don't let that get in the way of your TDS."...treat 'em with respect, or get out of the Gym!"

I prefer to wait and see how this all plays out.
Biden made a tough decision which the former president had laid out with a timeline, negotiating a deal with the nominal enemy, and not even giving the Afghan government a seat at the table.
We're evacuating thousands every day and hopefully things will work out with a lot of hard work and patience.
I do not favor forever wars. Neither did the last president, whose comments are conveniently erased from the RNC website.
I don't mind responding to reasonable criticism, but the echo chamber of the far right does not interest me.
And I favor a good review of all the decisions when the time is right....he went up late, and I was already up there.

Let's not talk about the 'decision'. There is pretty much bipartisan support for leaving the region. I would like to hear your opinion whether you think this administration effectively planned and executed the withdraw. This is Biden's first major foreign policy decision...how do you think it has gone to this point? Don't give me this 'i want to wait an see' horseshit. You jumped on every quote, every headline and seemed to have a reaction every time President Trump passed gas.
Are you able to look objectively and form an opinion on how President Biden has executed this plan? While you're at it, since you've been on a crusade for 'truth' over the last 3 years, would you care to opine on the multiple falsehoods that have been brought light as a result of President Biden's public remarks?
You can't lob grenades from behind the wall of Trump for 3 years and then say...'let's be patient". You know that's not how this thing works...Last edited by Smails; 08-25-2021 at 07:37 AM.
