Still no strict requirements on China, the world’s biggest polluter. How’s that working out? Less than zero credit because our national Security is at stake.

By the way, the second Hundred Days have been worse, and deteriorating further.

I'm sure that there are people in that region who would like a different form of government, but there clearly aren't enough of them to make it happen, or to sustain it when a foreign entity makes it happen for them. Iran is a very different animal. It's had Secular/modern governments in the past. Stan is a tribal region which throughout history has rarely had a ruling central authority. It's similar to North America pre colonialism. Similar peoples loosely affiliated against outsiders however internally territorial and Nationalistic.

Important to remember that Biden broke the deal with the Taliban to withdraw on May 1st. This allowed the Taliban to break it's agreement with the US and they began to take territory. It's an absolute disaster and to make it worse the Taliban has seized US heavy military equipment and advanced weaponry.

Also remember the Trump administration basically wiped ISIS/the Caliphate off the map in about 45 minutes. He had that in his back pocket for the Taliban if they didn't adhere to the agreement.
