If you listen to the video, he said those who vote absentee should still go to the polls to confirm the system worked. If it worked, they will see their vote was recorded. If not, then they still need to vote. No felony. Sheesh.

I don’t like Trump, though I do value honesty and fairness. This type of dishonesty is the crime here.

I'm not sure that makes a lot of sense. Many of the mailed ballots (especially with the shenanigans of the new postal head) may not be received and counted by election day. So you go to the polls, don't see it recorded yet...and commit a felony?
At my polling place they have the list of registered voters for that precinct, but I don't believe any information on whether an absentee ballot has been received by that date.

Anyone who commits voter fraud is a moron. You have to be at The highest possible level of stupid to A) go through all that trouble, and B) commit a felony that could land you in federal pound me in the ass prison, all so you can have an infinitesimally small impact on the election. The risk/reward ratio is about a million-to-one, if not more.

Doing something like hacking a voting machine makes sense. It’s totally wrong, but it can actually have an impact. Casting a second vote will almost assuredly not.

The voting system does identify if someone requested an absentee ballot, and if that person's absentee ballot has been received. If a completed ballot was received, they cannot vote in person. If someone casts an absentee ballot not yet received, they can request a provisional ballot.

Now if they cast an absentee ballot and claimed they didn't, I agree that is a felony.
