Correct, Emp, in all respects. No Tomfoolery or Hijinks either.

I hope he stays another 20 years. Coaches and players come and go, but his calls tie a lot of different eras of Xavier basketball together.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks

This exactly! I have been hoping for another Williams on the roster for a long time for this reason

I'll keep the knob-slobbing going by saying that I know Herb, he's a great guy, he does an excellent job, and it wouldn't be the same without him. Having said that, I'd trade him in a cocaine heartbeat for this guy...

Mods please feel free to change this thread title to include Herb's name, if only as a sign of respect.

Herb Bauer is a great American and as much a part of the soundtrack of my life as anyone.

I have been attending Xavier games with my father for the past 28 years and I think Herb has been there ever since.

For those who attended the Butler game last Wed do any of you recall Herb announcing and alluding to Thad Matta's children attending Xavier University?

I heard it on the Tv broadcast. Just WOW. His kids could have gone for free to OSU, I'm thinking.

MOR obviously missed the Admissions Committee meeting where that slipped through.
It's a still great day to be a Muskie, but a sad day to be a supporting member of this board.
