Epic. OT. Vcu a chance to win outright. Bonnies watching with a three way conference tie on the line. Vcu misses clutch free throws only shooting 50% from the line. Vcu steal the ball at the end and down by 1 pnly to have it stolen back on the same play....vcu inexplicably calls timeout with the ball and only one second left....a quaint little conference.

Charming conference. Have they an automatic bid?

I'm sure they use an abacus to calculate the tiebreakers for their League Championship seedings.

I was driving back last night listening to the game on 1290 in dump city. I laughed out lowd when the Cryers won and Larry Hagensen (?) their play by play guy went crazy declaring them as "A10" Champs. Errrrr, there was a 3 way, tie, buddy.

Cryers can claim 1st due to alphabetical order, though.

I'm pretty sure we hung a banner every time we shared a title.

vcu missed a wide open layup that could have won the game in regulation. it was some of the worse basketball seen all year. great game but bad basketball

Overlooked is the absolutely terrific job by Coach Schmidt & SBU. Here's to hoping BC brings him home.
I have seen only two great plays: Hamlet and put the ball into the basket

I'm also pretty sure that Joe Sunderman made sure to say "Co-Champs" or "Xavier shares the title with..."

Did we have a huge celebration and cut down the nets when we finished the season tied?

Our celebration was generally when Xavier clinched it, not when we knew whether we were alone in the title. I was there for 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Dayton's victory did lead to an interesting dinner for my cousin's 19th bday today. Of my grandparent's 7 kids, 4 went to Dayton and all 4 married classmates they started dating while at dayton. of the Grandkids, 8 have gone to dayton. Then there are other family members who grew up supporting dayton due to family ties. Then as far as X support, we have about 12 of us. We are outnumbered 2 to 1 though. UD vs X rivalry has always been very heated within our family. When everyone showed up at Marion's in Mason today for the birthday dinner, all the Dayton fans had all their dayton gear on. Everything was going fine until i loudly asked them what they thought of the fact that now the A-10 championship was basicly a participation trouphy since everyone got a share of it....... I thought it was funny until i had a slice of pizza hit me in the side of the face thrown by one of my dayton aunts.
