Now in Section 106 (Row L), after stints in Sections 104 and 105.

Abell was the best player at Musketeer Madness. I won't be surprised to see him start or be the first off the bench next season.
Xavier always goes to the NCAA tournament...Projecting anything less than that this season feels like folly--Eamonn Brennan, ESPN (Summer Shootaround, 2012)

You're not confusing him with Lionel Chalmers, are you? Chalmers sat out his frosh year as a partial qualifier.

There's an Indiana fan here where I work, and he's pretty pissed that Indiana couldn't keep him.

I think we're going to be pretty happy with what we get out of Abell.

I dont think he had that good of a relationship with Crean, his best friends on the team were Oladipo and Zeller who left, and I believe he thought Crean was trying to over recruit him. At the very least he would have been a solid bench player for them this year and possible starter. Hard to get minutes over Oladipo his first 2 years. After he left IU ended up bringing in Eric Gordons brother as a 5th year transfer and he plays quite a bit.

One of my best friend's in an IU grad and is also disappointed that Abell left. He's the kid that lives in the Gym and is infectious with his positive attitude. Said he probably could've been a solid 6th man with 20 mins a game this year but left once Oladipo and Zeller went pro.

In terms of him being a Freak Athlete....His cousin is some guy named Bo Jackson?

So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

And Wilma Rudolph is his aunt? Those are some serious genes.

To be fair, Abell was a legit talent from a high-level D-I program. I wouldn't go comparing him to Jeff Robinson, who was a relative unknown and taken by Xavier in a pinch after a coaching change.

I'm not doubting he has talent (he was recruited by the "Great" Tom Crean after all). I'd just like to see how he meshes with the pieces we have in a game situation (Musketeer Madness notwithstanding) before declaring him a starter or first off the bench.

Let's also be honest. This board and other Xavier boards have been full of "best player" in practice posts for years. I was just poking a little fun.

I hope Remy is better than Jordan Crawford and Tu Holloway combined.
"He's a little bit ball-dominant, he needs to have the ball in his hands, and he's not a good shooter." Ball-dominant … isn't that a nice way of calling someone a ball hog? Where is my Jay Bilas Thesaurus?
