If you’re looking for something to do Saturday night and have at least $350 for a ticket, check out The Cincinnati ShakeUp for Parkinson’s. Proceeds from the evening benefit the Brian Grant Foundation and the University of Cincinnati’s Gardner Center for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders.

The public is invited to the gala. A 6:30 p.m. celebrity red carpet and reception at Cintas Center is followed by the 7:30 p.m. dinner and program. The event features a speech by Xavier product and 12-year NBA veteran Grant and musical entertainment by Blessid Union of Souls, plus videos, speakers and a brief auction to support Parkinson’s disease patients and research. Nick Lachey and Brad Johansen will co-host the ShakeUp.

Online reservations are closed but you can still reserve a ticket ($350 or $500) or table for 10 ($5,000) by calling Gina Weitzel at 513-324-0986.

Celebrities scheduled to attend include Corie Blount, Duane Causwell, Michael Davenport, LaPhonso Ellis, Lawrence Funderburke, Steve Gentry, Brian Grant, Jimmy Jackson, Meadowlark Lemon, Louis Orr, Oscar Robertson, LaBradford Smith, Jamal Walker, Tyrice Walker, Aaron Williams and Dwayne Wilson.

Nick Lachey? Count Kahns Krazy in.

    Only $350 a pop? I will take 4 tickets.

I hope the event goes well but I cannot spring for that after writing the IRS a check.
