So, not looking at punctuation here, but spelling. I believe the word you're looking for is notwithstanding versus not withstanding. You compounded the word into one meaning not able to stand up to something. For example, the weight of an object or the constant badgering of another person. The word notwithstanding means in spite of, which is the one you're seeking.
