UConn winning this would help x out a lot right? It would ah e to jump UConn up quite a bit in the net I’d think. Maybe move them really close to that top 30 net?

Really Val?

Maybe instead use the money to get BOC and Breeding some glasses so they can officiate better.
I understand officials are human beings, but they are paid to do a job, and just like players, should have to answer tough questions after a game when they f up. This is high d1 basketball. They have very little accountability required in their positions.
I understand fans can be nasty, hell I've seen it all the way down to my kids' 2nd grade games with certain parents (which is insane,) but those officials make about 25 dollars a game and are basically volunteering. Officials like BOC in high D1 basketball make 150-200k a year, maybe more. He has literally screwed X over twice this season, and he's been a disaster in other games as well. And this is your response? tone deaf.
I'd have to imagine the money could be better spent elsewhere to take care of officials with things like ya know, money, better training, and get rid of the incompetent ones like BOC who can't perform at the level that the job requires etc. You could also institute zero tolerance policies to coaches, fans if you want to blame them for the refs' incompetence etc. Do we really need to enter a partnership of reflection sessions?
We need a stronger commissioner. I'm tired of her bs. She got us to this point, but it6's time for someone that can take it from here. Her time has passed.Last edited by Xville; 02-04-2025 at 12:33 PM.

There are 27 people listed in the BE office.
All but 2 have email addresses to contact. The exceptions? The head of officials of men's and women's basketball.
And when the head of your officials is John Cahill, responsible for the worst call in NCAA history, not really sure improvement is on the horizon....he went up late, and I was already up there.

I watch quite a bit of college basketball, and the officiating in our league gets worse every single year, and it's by far the worst officiated conference of the power five. It's been extremely rare in the past that I have called out the officiating, but this year it's been blatant incompetence. This is the Commissioner's response. It's apparently our fault, for how incompetent they have let their officiating become.

Wow Seton Hall is bad.
We've come a long way since my bench seat at the Fieldhouse!

Providence will not be a walk in the park that’s for sure. They are short handed dude to injuries and don’t have a lot of pieces, but they play extremely hard and will be a tough out. I watched them play Creighton last night, and the game was a lot closer than the final score. Creighton per usual lately put them away in the final minutes

I think it's safe to assume that if UCONN wins tonight, they go to Q1 status for X. Go Huskies!

UConn goes down. Realize we have to take of business. First and foremost. If that happens, can we catch them and slide into the 4th spot before BET? UConn has a tough schedule coming in. Well minus SH twice

X's best case scenario is winning out while UConn finishes at 13-7.
Who wins the tie breaker if both X and UConn tie at 13-7 or 14-6?
