Derrick finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds in 23 minutes. Not a bad first preseason game. He should definitely see more minuets this season, and if Diaw gets traded, his role will increase a lot.

See Wade has a hammy already.
Those are definitely good numbers for Brown. His hard work in the off season seems to be paying off. I'm not sure how significantly rotations change between preseason and regular season but I suspect it is too early to get pumped up over these results. The rebounding is what should earn him minutes as he didn't do that consistently last season. Considering the time he was in those are great rebounding numbers and points as well. If his contract is renewed or he gets signed elsewhere after this season I suspect he will eventually be putting up these type of numbers in the regular season. Hopefully it happens this year.
It should also be noted that Brown continues to be one of only a few players on Charlotte's team showing a positive point differencial. I noticed that quite often when I checked stats last year but he typically played garbage minutes so it is difficult to draw too much from it.
He scored efficiently and took care of the ball as well. These are all good indicators for him getting minutes this year but its only one game.
Derrick scored 12 points (1-1 from 3) and grabbed 4 rebound tonight in 16 minutes of play.
He also had a +8 in the boxscore. The Bobcats lost again.
DBrown posterizes Royal Ivey.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
Brown got it done from the line and had no turnovers and 1 steal. Impressive game considering the time played. His point differential needs to be considered by the coach. The starting PF had a 0 differential and the starting SF was negative. If this continues Brown has to be given consideration for more minutes and potentially starting. Maybe Brown just gets lucky and the other team has their worst line-up in whenever he plays but if this pattern holds you would think he will get plenty of PT in the regular season.
Nice to see Brown doing it from the inside and out.
Derrick is the Bobcats leading scorer at halftime tonight. He's got 9 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
I would love to see DB earn the starting spot at PF. He has been their most consistent PF this preseason.
Howard, Carter and Lewis did not play. Bobcats should have easily won.
