Something of note: UCONN is having their best season in quite some time. Now, their schedule is relatively weak, and they have beaten really no one of note that I can see, but most likely they win at least 8 games this year. It's definitely something to keep an eye on, as they build their football program up to a point where they can jet to the big 12.
I noticed the current projected playoff bracket had Oregon, Texas, Miami and Boise State as the top 4 projected conference champions. BYU (who's leading the Big 12 but coming off of a bad loss to Kansas) is currently the #12 seed and in effect getting the G5 conference leader spot.
I'm now reading scenarios where Boise State (Mountain West) and Army (American) could win out and finish above whoever wins the Big 12 conference championship. It's possible the Big 12 could be left out of the playoffs entirely if that's the case.
BYU has zero chance of being left out if they win out and win the Big XII. But if everyone at the top of the Big XII loses again (KU continues to be a wrecking crew) or someone like Arizona State wins the Big XII, and Army can beat Notre Dame and Tulane (obviously unlikely), then the Big XII is hosed unless Boise slips up.
Indiana wakes up from their dream.
(I wouldn't have minded if it had continued)
Oh well. Iu was living on borrowed time with one of the weakest power 5 schedules I’ve ever seen. Still a great season for them.
Why is ku all of a sudden good? I know they were supposed to be good at the beginning of the season but they were awful. Did they get a bunch of guys healthy or something? Weird
Go back and look at the results. Kansas lost a BUNCH of really close games. Once the finally got rolling, they were the best Big XII team. Just too late.
