Not really. There are times when sources should be named, and other times when they shouldn't.

I disagree with this. Who decides when sources should or should not be named when it come to basketball information? If you can’t name the source you got the information from, don’t report it then. This is exactly how misinformation and clickbait happens. Don’t believe me? Go on twitter.
I know how they work but I don’t agree with the reasoning behind it. If it is so confidential why provide that information to someone who is going to share it out to the public? In basketball term, the only source we should be hearing if Colby is staying or not is from Colby himself. Not some “confidential source” who is to scared to put his name out there.
Geezus dude it’s a message board. If people want to share what they have heard, they are free to do so and they certainly don’t need you to decide whether they should give names of their sources or not. Get a grip. You can choose whether to believe the info or not.
I am Colby Jones, and I’m staying. That should settle it
Exactly! Gives people all the more power to spread disinformation and clickbait. They are entitled to do so but make the platform as reliable as Wikipedia. I can play along though. Sources are saying that Yancy Gates is the new strength and conditioning coach at X. The sources are “confidential” so wont name names.
Yes, but we all know you don't know shit. For others we only suspect it.
