The Georgia hole is now closed. Nevada is going to promote top assistant, which is what Fox was when Johnson left for Stanford.

Congrats to Nevada for promoting from within. I would think it would promote good feelings from current and future Nevada assistants.

Back to UGA for a second. The guy has won 20+ games a year and 4 of 5 regular season titles with Nevada, but his last 2 years, he has been bumped from the CBI in the first round. Of course, being bumped from the first round of the CBI would probably be an upgrade for UGA, but still...

Fox is a fantastic recruiter but I'm not convinced he's a great game coach.

I suspect he'll be back in the WAC or WCC within five years.

Fox inherited Fazekas. He hasn't had a ton of success without Fazekas. Personally, I'd rather have Felton than Fox.

I think Felton could go to a place like Murray State and have a long, very successful career.

I have a feeling that Richt just wanted them to hire someone and get it out of the way so that the basketball coach search wouldn't mess with spring football reports.

Georgia does have money. Their athletic department kicks back millions to the general fund every year. Athens is a great town. One would think that they could aim a little higher.
