Anyone know what the pink stripe with the ribbon on the court is all about? I can't seem to find an answer on the interwebs.

It's seems odd to me. I thought it was on every court, but apparently it is only on the court in Miami.

Maybe somebody in their program has cancer?

The looped pink ribbon is significant of the fight against breast cancer. The Susan B. Koman Foundation, I think, started it. Every member of my family and my wife's family wears them. That disease killed my mother and my aunt. It put my wife under the knife twice and her sister once. It and the chemo and/or radiation that follow lumpectomies or mastectomies are hideous treatments to watch as well as endure. I know, my wife got through one solid year of chemo infusions and two sessions damn near killed me.
Any time you see a pink ribbon or have a chance to wear one, cheer on the wearer or wear it proudly yourself. Maybe, please God, we can eradicate that malady.:D

They say it's all pink on the inside.
