There are some players who just want the Tournament to be over!!!

I forget who it was, it was either on ESPN or CBS and one of the guys was talking about when he was playing in the NCAA Tournament there were some players who just didn't want to be there and couldn't wait for the season to be over. I just can't believe that. Who wouldn't be excited to be a part of the greatest sporting event ever? I wonder if any Xavier players felt this way :(

Those would be the seniors, who were on mediocre teams that knew once the season ended, they could start working to get their big money contracts. Otherwise, every other red-blooded kid is loving to play and play and play, until they hand you a big trophy.

That is actually a common thing among basketball players as well as coaches. AT all levels many many players don't live well with the stress of day to day workouts and competition. I've heard those type of comments from players and coaches at the high school, college and AAU levels.

I could see someone like OJ Mayo or Greg Oden just wanting to get things over with. I can remember being on the bench in my rec league and couldn't wait for the game to end. But come on!!!!! This is the greatest thing on Earth!! Any player who doesn't appreciate this is either dead or so self involved that who would want them on their team anyway? This is why I want to see more Mid Majors in this tournament. I just hate to hear that there has been Xavier players that felt this way.
