Wow, OT. Siena was HORRIBLE for 25 minutes. OSU should have been up 20. But they weren't, and now it's plenty interesting.

That's a truely impressive win by Siena. Talk about a tough environment to play in for them. Basically a home game for tOSU. What a great finish to the 1st round.

I have nothing against Matta....but I do hate Ohio State. Plus, Siena plays a fun style, so I'm glad I get to see them play again.

The agony of defeat is a beautiful emotion to behold on the face of those you despise. Go home bizzatch.

Wow, great game.
Hey, Beaknose. Why did you give Siena a chance to tie and not foul? You didn't learn anything?
Go Saints.

What I like about it is the potential to gain a little on his recruiting. He's been getting everything he wants lately.

I'm a sucker for a good father-son story and the Hasbrouck family story has me pulling for Siena.

Ohio State and Huggs out in the first round. Indiana, Cincinnati and Kentucky not even in it in the first place. Xavier headed for the second round to play a 12 seed for a chance to play in the Sweet Sixteen a quarter mile from my office.
Best...Tournament.....Ever already.

That was my question exactly.
The majority of coaches continue to play straight-up in that position, and it makes no sense at all.

I am assuming you have tickets on standby to go to said Xavier/Pitt game a quarter mile from your office?

Not yet. It's a big arena, and UConn isn't going to be there (like people thought when they bought tickets). It will not be an issue.

The only thing better so far is if A) More Big Greased teams would have lost in the first round (which will be corrected when they actually have to play somebody in the second round) and B) If Gone-zaga would have lost.
What will BESPN talk about when all their darlings are gone?

Hey, GO, I'm in Boston for sure next weekend. I'll happily absorb and pay for one of those "available tickets"!

Beyond that, the OSU defender backed way off the shooter instead of staying right on him on the perimeter. It does no good to be five feet inside the arc when Siena needs a three.
It never ceases to amaze how teams make plays not to win.
All Wisconsin needed was 1 point to win in regulation, but instead of going to the basket they jack a three. They fortunately were able to pull it out in OT. OSU was not.

Anybody want to trade Dante The Inferno for Jon "Mr. Basketball-because-of-my-coach-father's-tailor-made-system-for-me" Diebler?
While The Inferno steps up on the big stage, Mr. "No D"iebler goes 2-12. Sorry, Jonny. This ain't the NIT.
