Blew a 12 point lead. With 9 secs left they are up one and UCONN ball. They foul a kid on the inbounds with no time elapsed. Kid hits both, UC misses a three at the end. Ouch.

What a stupid foul by a freshman.............They gave that game away. Too bad because they played well and are getting better. It could have made our win look that much better against UC.

It was Rashad Bishop - he went from hero (he gave UC the lead on a jumper in the lane) to goat just like that. UC now has 3 of 5 games on the road with their next game at Seton Hall.

It wasn't even a ticky tack foul. Bishop mugged the guy!! How do you foul a guy like that? Freshman mistake.

Good. Hopefully this will be a start of a nice losing streak.

That loss will probably cost them a couple votes in the AP poll. Maybe that chick from Ft. Wayne will have then 23rd now.

Is it me or are the coaches in the BE stupid? Why don't they put a box and one on Vaughn, he's the only guy on UC who can beat you.

UC sucks. Now all of their "fans" that just got on the bandwagon will fall off again and root for West Virginia again. Losers.

Don't know about you guys, but RPI or not, I still love when they lose.

No love for UC? I'm surprised about that. These guys are playing with some of the best teams in the country while being the only team without a 3rd year player. I say give them some credit.

I can be somewhat impressed while still hating them.

When's the last time you saw a college basketball team play a box and one? Can't do it. The "zone" portion is just too porous.

UC would be much easier to root for if it weren't for their full-of-themselves, loudmouth fans.

Personally, I have turned the corner. I used to be one who relished every UC loss, now I have come around and am finding myself disappointed when they lose. Maybe its the whole rooting for the down and out underdog angle, or witnessing the revival of their program. Don't get me wrong, for about a week before the Crosstown, I am all XU all the time, but when we aren't opponents, I can root for my home town teams. Then there is the whole RPI thing as well...

Mind you this is a very recent development, as recently as last February's Notre Dame game I was sitting in 5/3rd Arena using tickets a friend gave me, laughing hard on the inside at the hurting Notre Dame was putting on them.

Because no other team has any of those. LOL

Amen. I love it when they lose, especially since the local media is now all over them for winning a couple home games against some beat down BE teams. I see Villanova lost again...to Rutgers nonetheless!

Oh yeah, that Big East sure is the best conference in the country. Spare me.

I stopped by a friends house (all UC fans) with about 7 minutes to go or when they were up 12. As stated before, I can only hate one team and that team is dayton, followed by dayton and then followed again by dayton. So I was actually rooting for UC.

Watching the game slip away from them they noticed I was wearing a Xavier Ascot and Smoking jacket and then blamed me for their loss. I tried to plead my case that I wanted UC to win but my voice fell on deaf ears. Maybe I do have that power.

dayton will lose by 40 and we will loot tonight.

be interesting to see where Uc goes from here. they had a golden opportunity to go 5-2 in their league. 3 of the next 4 are on the road including the RAC

Don't worry though... they could still beat all of the mid-majors that are ranked ahead of them in the polls... right Coach Cronin?

Cronin is making progress and I hope he gets that program back, but he needs to stop complaining about calls at the end of the game. He gave a no comment on the refs, but also said his player told him he was fouled. Boo hoo.

I actively cheer against UC every game. I can't stand the smug UC fans who think that there program is in a better place purely because they are the Big East.

These days, UC is kind of like that cousin that everyone in the family loved so much and always seemed to succeed, even though you knew he was a slimy b@$!@%d when they weren't looking. Recently he started doing poorly, everything in his life turning against him. He starts being less obnoxious, even occasionally acting nice, said a few complementary things about you in front of others, so you can't really hate him any more. You sort of feel sorry for him and you do root for him to win sometimes, he's family after all and has had such bad luck. But when he loses, you aren't surprised and secretly enjoy it. He was such a jerk for so long.

That's how I feel about UC. Not really going to bad-mouth them publicly, like seeing them win but don't mind much when they lose.

Coach Miller talked about doing a box and one on Roberts tonight.

I'm not a big fan of that D, better to have other players shade towards him when nearby.

Ah, Sean Miler is quoted in today's Enquirer saying we might play some box and one. Did you learn your basketball from MOR?
